Make Your Own Organic Soaps

How to Make Loofah Scrubby Soap

We are continuing with making organic soaps video series.

In this video you will learn how to make loofah scrubby soaps.

Things you'll need:

  • Natural loofah
  • Organic / natural melt and pour soap (olive oil soap)
  • Parchment paper
  • Glass measure
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife
  • Serrated knife
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • Seafoam green coloring
  • Stress relief formula

Judy, the soap expert demonstrates how to make a little mold out of a loofah. She uses a loofah that has been soaked in water and cuts a slice of it that's about one and a quarter inch thick.

Then she puts it in a piece of parchment paper, and wraps it up using rubber bands to hold the paper up in place.

She melts the soap, adds some color and fragrance and pours the soap right in the center, covering the loofah.

Let that set up and dry. And there you have an amazing loofah scrubby soap.
