Making your own organic soaps it’s a fun kid's activity and a practical body care product you can use at home or as holiday gifts for close friends and relatives.


Melting and molding soap has never been so easy. Learn what you need in order to make organic soaps in this free video series.

You'll learn the tricks of the trade to melting and molding soap, and you'll get introduced to possible additive and molds that might work best for whatever several types of soap.

In this video series, we will be using the melt and pour soap base since is the easiest and safest for kids to do and needs minimal adult supervision.


Things you'll need:

  • Organic / natural melt and pour soap
  • Glass measure
  • Cutting board
  • Sharp knife


In this first video, you'll learn how to melt the premade soap. (Adult supervision is required).

One of the easiest ways to melt the soap is using the microwave, but if you'd rather not use a microwave, you can put your glass measure in some boiling water and melt it right on the stovetop.

The premade soap comes in many different blends of soap and it is pre-scored into once ounce cubes. Watch how Judy easily cuts the soap following the marks.

Then, she adds it to the measuring cup and melting it in the microwave for about thirty seconds until it has a creamy look with no lumps.
